Arrigo and Stacey met over 20 years ago in an amateur theatre production. They live in the same city (Melbourne, Australia) and yet usually only manage to catch up in person each Christmas time. It was Christmas Eve 2007 when they cooked-up the recipe for the 100-art-dolls challenge.

Arrigo DorissaArrigo Dorissa is a psychologist and research academic at Australian Catholic University, Melbourne and is completing a PhD.

He also has a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Arts and continues to practice as an artist. He has held several exhibitions of paintings, drawings and sculpture. His most recent solo exhibition of paintings in 2005 (The Dissociative Show) focused on themes regarding the management of mental health as a result of trauma.

Stacey Apeitos


Stacey Apeitos
owns the Go-Make-Art website devoted to the concept that “making art is good for you”. She is publisher of Astarte’s Mega-Zine and enjoys designing projects for articles and classes.  She exhibits her art occasionally.

She has owned art and craft businesses for ten years. Prior to this Stacey worked in not-for-profit administration. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre and Drama from Indiana University.
